Ever wanted to create a raised garden? Ever find yourself at your local hardware store, searching for that perfect 4' x 4' Raised Garden by 'frame it all'? Ever break one of those flimsy hinges while installing it and decide not to return it because you want to show off the capabilities of your 3d printer to your family? Well, you're in luck! Now you can print a sturdy alternative. Printed with a Printrbot Simple Metal at 0.3mm resolution and 25% infill for sturdiness. An 8000 mm/min speed worked well with Hatchbox Wood PLA (200° extruder and 70° bed). The part was created wider than the original plastic piece for added stability. It fits perfectly - works flawlessly. Note: If using Simplify3d, a red disc may appear in the middle of the cylinder during the printing process. To fix this, click on Mesh->Separate Connected Surfaces from the menu before starting the print. This will prevent a thin layer from appearing in the finished product.
