Print four of these components and place one in each corner of the machine to elevate the lid by 100mm, preventing the plastic filament tube from rubbing against the inside of the lid and reducing the risk of scratching. This setup eliminates the need to prop up the lid or place it on the floor when not in use. The designed fit between the machine side is snug, requiring a firm push to secure the component. The flat base should be flush with the upper face of the machine, while the lip will clear by 1mm. To ensure stability, I added a blob of hot glue to prevent movement. On the lid side, the fit is very loose, making it easy to attach the cover. The recessed areas in the printed parts enable you to add sheet material for a complete enclosure if desired, particularly when working with materials like ABS. Most sheet materials will work as long as they are 4.65mm or less in thickness. For side panel measurements, consider the following specifications: two components measuring 576.7mm wide by 105mm high and two others measuring 544.7mm wide by 105mm high.
