Raise3D N2 electronics cooling intake duct
thingiverse
This is a revised design for improved printability. I experimented with every possible orientation to print wibbcat's two-part duct, but no matter what approach I tried, the two pieces simply wouldn't fit together when finally achieved a good print (standing upright). Therefore, this is a single merged part that combines the original two pieces. It prints diagonally across the print bed on one edge, as shown, with the "snorkel" side positioned closest to the build plate. I used supports only under the "snorkel" section of the design. The entire process took approximately 20 hours, but the end result fits together seamlessly. I attempted to use some foam to seal the fan intake to the donut flange, but unfortunately, this caused the fan to bog down, so it appears that this design will only be able to draw in a small percentage of cooler air to the electronics. However, this does make it significantly more effective than the standard OEM cooling system.
