Raise3D Infinite Position Hinge System for Raise 3D N2+ and Pro Printer Cover

After extensive deliberation, we have decided to unveil the Infinite Position Hinge System for the Raise3D N2+ and Pro Printer Cover. I firmly believe this hinge system is an outstanding solution for the Raise 3D Printer Cover and hope you will share my enthusiasm. As someone who has experienced firsthand the joy of playing vinyl records, I designed this system to recapture the simplicity of lifting the cover and having the torque hinges hold it in place. By leveraging Thingiverse, we can empower hundreds or even thousands of people with a user-friendly interface for their Raise3D printers. As one wise individual once noted, kindness goes a long way; if you're so inclined, please remember to tip your server. Noteworthy features: The Infinite Position Hinge System undoubtedly enhances the user experience for Raise3D printer owners by allowing them to set the torque of the hinges and maintain partial opening during PLA printing. This is a significant advantage as it eliminates the need to remove the cover and find a suitable storage space. The system has undergone rigorous testing, withstanding up to 2,500 cycles over a two-year period with an average open-and-close duty cycle of approximately three times per day. The hinges selected are rated for up to 20,000 cycles, and I am confident they will last even longer. Please note that all part numbers and vendor information for the components can be found in the file downloads. It works amazingly well! With one hand, you can lift and close the Lexan cover, thanks to the custom hinge's adjustable torque. Simply lift and rotate the cover to your desired position, and it will maintain its open position without a prop rod. Venting and Maintenance: When printing PLA, you no longer need to remove and place the cover on the floor; instead, simply open it to your desired location for venting. Double the excitement! When removing parts from the printer or adding filament or tending to the gantry for maintenance, simply rotate the cover to the desired position. Fixture and Jigs: This is more than just a hinge system – it's also a fixture and jig that you can print yourself. During assembly, these will save you time and frustration. You can print a jig to accurately locate the mounts on the cover and then drill accurate mounting holes. However, I recommend purchasing a specific type of drill bit that induces relatively low stress on the acrylic cover; all part numbers and vendors are provided in the file download. Custom Metal Plate with Integrated Fasteners: The custom metal stainless steel plates make assembly easy and significantly increase the strength of the cover. I highly recommend using them to prevent the cover from cracking or twisting under torque. Without these plates, it's not a matter of if the cover will crack, but when. The stainless steel plates are designed to eliminate this risk. Transporting: For transporting the printer, if you need to remove the cover, the custom metal plates attached to the frame allow you to easily remove the hinges from the printer. After initial installation, these plates eliminate the need to remove the printer enclosure panels, saving you valuable time. Handle: The handle provides an easy method to open and close the cover without touching the plastic cover, saying goodbye to fingerprints on the cover. You can also print one of two handles – either bond it to the cover with pressure-sensitive adhesive or screw it in place using the custom metal plates.
