Raise3D Fan Mod (Extra Gcode Controlled Fan)
cults3d
I created a fan mod for my Raise3D N2 Plus Dual, which I believe will work on all N series models. My goal was to add a 40mm fan that could be controlled using gcode to regulate airflow on the printed model. In this setup, the stock 35mm fans only cool the cold end, while an extra 40mm fan positioned in front cools the material being printed under both nozzles. Simply connect the 40mm 12V fan to the extruder board next to the two "always on" fans that cool the cold end. Be sure not to let the heating elements touch the duct; I had to reposition mine slightly to the back in the hotend, but it fits perfectly. I've included STL files and an Ideamaker file for the 40mm duct with added support. The files labeled "V2" feature smaller holes for attaching the front duct to the two outer parts, using 2.5mm diameter holes (M3 bolt tight fit) instead of the original 4mm diameter holes.
