Raiscube Y-belt tensioner
prusaprinters

UPDATE: It's better to use this Y-tensioner instead.

After using this design for a while I noticed 2 thing:

The arm is puller downward by the belt when tensioned, create uneven force between the frame and the 4 arm going through it.

Because of (1.), the printed bolt is at an angle when pressing again the front frame. This in turn reduce the contact area and pushing the bolt loose with each print.

Enlarged the idler holder bolt's slot from CH35C0's belt tensioner to fit Raiscube's original Y-axis bolt which is M6.

The bolt and plate have very small tolerance, so you should scale down the bolt by 1% if you're not confident in your printer's tolerance.

Print your bolt on it's side with support. This way it will be able to withstand very strong force with just 10-20% infill.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

Ender 3

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.2

Infill:

20%

Filament: Reprapper PLA Orange

Notes:

Main body:
Print with support everywhere.
Plate:

No support.

Bolt:

Print your bolt on it's side with support.
