Raiscube A8R E3D V6 mount
thingiverse
This project draws inspiration from the [design](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2099577) by TNS. It's an adaptation of the well-known E3D V6 hotend tailored specifically for the Raiscube A8R printer. This printer features 49mm spacing on its X rails, making direct use of designs meant for Anet printers impossible. Furthermore, I've already created my own X belt tensioner, fan mount, semi-circular fan duct, and other components for the original direct drive [upgrade](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3500653), which turned out to be very effective. Since this design is well-proven, I wanted to stick with it. All components have been modified as necessary to ensure a seamless integration. It incorporates the little fan hook that addresses an issue discovered on the above-mentioned upgrade. A known issue persists: the X limit switch placement results in losing 15-20mm of X dimension because the hotend is centered within the carriage rather than positioned at the leftmost corner. While this isn't a concern for me, given my use of a mirror that's smaller than my heatbed, I believe the switch can be relocated over the fan. This issue will be addressed later (if I can find a larger mirror). The baseplate utilizes unique screws for mounting various components. I happened to have [shoulder bolts](https://www.google.com/search?q=shoulder+bolts&safe=strict&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiKqfvKz7LkAhXC_qQKHY6SC4AQ_AUIESgB&biw=1920&bih=969) in my parts bin, which are M4 with a 5mm diameter and 2mm length. The thread length isn't critical, but anything between 8-15mm should suffice (in some areas, both sides of the linear guide block's thread is used, so the screws must be short enough to fit in).
