Rainbowduino Case
prusaprinters
This is case for the Rainbowduino and its clones. The case is a stand, where the display is slightly inclined. It's basically up to you, how you'll program your Rainbowduino. I programmed Conway's Game of Life into it and published the source code on GitHub. RDCase_diffuser.stl is to be printed from white plastic, as it's diffusing the light from the LED display. This part was made by Alx_ffs and is availabe under CC-BY-SA 3.0 license. RDCase_bevel.stl is a bevel to fit the diffuser into. It's supposed to be printed from different material - that's why it's a separate part. You can just push the diffuser into the bevel, it should hold well by friction alone. Of course, you can always use a glue. RDCase_bevel_lid.stl is flat lid, which is supposed to be screwed to the bevel from back. RDCase_stand.stl is a base, which is supposed to be glued to the bottom part of the bevel with CA glue or other adhesive. I split the parts into two, because it's easier to print them separately. RDCase_stand_lid.stl is a flat lid for the base, again it's supposed to be screwed by two screws. The base is quite big. First, for aesthetic reasons, to provide visual balance to the inclined bevel. Second, because you might want to stuff some electronics into it, like second Arduino to control the display or a battery. You might also modify the lid to have holes for control buttons etc. In my case, there is only a hole for DC jack in the back and the base is empty, with only two wires going trough.
