Jokes are tossed around all day, and having a 3D printer just takes things to the next level. Introducing the very unofficial Rainbow Six Siege Ban Hammer. The idea started as a joke about banning people who cheat or break the rules. We wanted something physical to represent that, so we decided on a ban hammer for special cases like blatant cheating. One Mr. Its_Epi asked if it could actually happen, and I made it real. I'm really happy with the results. I got the 6 logo from Chris_23 here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1603188. All I did was cut off the keychain part because it's perfect otherwise. In the end, it's a pretty simple design. The parts are fairly large and make for a hammer that you can definitely hold in your hand and swing. It's not too big, but I'm not sure if the threaded socket for the handle will work well at larger sizes. I imagine it should be okay, but scaling it down might be a problem. Print Settings Printer: Monoprice Maker Select v2 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .2 Infill: 15 Notes: I printed with supports touching the build plate to get some parts cleaner. It's not necessary if you have good extruder cooling. I'd recommend going for a higher infill if you plan on using this in anger. 15% does make it feel pretty solid, though. How I Designed This TinkerCAD came through for me. Designing this was easy. I made a giant block and added a B, A, and N to stick out of the block on one side. I imported Chris_23's awesome Rainbow Six Siege keychain (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1603188) and cut off the keychain loop. I stuck it on the strike point where the head would be. Designing the shaft was a bit harder. I decided to use a basic bolt screw for the handle without glue or anything, making it two pieces as the goal is to ship this. I initially designed the hammer head with an 18mm diameter threaded hole and the shaft with a 20mm diameter thread, but I had to shrink that down to 16mm to get it to fit. It fits pretty snug, but repeated use of the threading might wear out the plastic of the print. Originally, we wanted to have "GET REKT" on both sides of the handle, but we decided against it in the end.
