This is a sequential discovery puzzle box with two internal compartments. The first and larger compartment requires 42 moves to reach, and the second, more hidden compartment requires an additional 53 moves. This model has been refined from it's previous posting on Thingiverse and should no longer require a significant amount of sanding - most will be to clear imperfections or scarring from supports. It also includes a new piece which adds significant complexity adding to the move count! All pieces are printable without supports, however I typically use them on the Red, Purple, Floor and Subfloor files to strengthen some of the more complex bridging. I have success with a standard 0.25mm nozzle and 0.3mm layer height on nearly all pieces, but I use 0.2mm or 0.15mm height on the finer pieces so that they move more smoothly when assembled. This is one of my most complex designs and will be a difficult assembly. I've included numbering on the STL files to indicate the assembly order; with that and some thorough investigation of the mechanisms I hope it should be a fun puzzle to put together! I've also posted a disassembly video on Reddit if you need additional help, or feel free to reach out if you have any specific questions! The hardest part of the assembly (physically) will likely be attaching the subfloor to the base. This connection has to be extremely tight to ensure the whole box feels solid when assembled. I recommend twisting it on and off several times (gloves can help with the sharp corners) until the edges of the holes in the subfloor and the base line up. It's also important to ensure there's no support material inside the grooves on the bottom of the subfloor. This should only be an issue during the first assembly. If you continue to have issues, I've also included a “Subfloor-loose” file that gives a little more wiggle room.
