Rain Gauge with tipping bucket
thingiverse
I designed and built this rain gauge in 2018 as an amateur maker. Its precision is a remarkable 0.21 millimeters. I'm providing the source file of the drawing because it needs to be tailored to your specific raw materials (magnet, funnel...). From the source file, you'll be able to generate the individual STL files for each part. The STL files I've provided are simply a compilation of all the parts and cannot be used as-is. I utilized DesignSpark Mechanical, a free mechanical design software after creating an account. It's not a parametric software, but it's relatively easy to navigate. You can find detailed instructions in the instructions PDF file. A 3D PDF file is also included so you can get a closer look at the parts before diving deeper into DesignSpark Mechanical. With this file you will be able to print Rain Gauge with tipping bucket with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Rain Gauge with tipping bucket.
