When installing a bulkhead tank fitting on a rain barrel, smaller adapters usually aren't affected by the curvature of the barrel, but larger ones can become problematic, especially those over 1-1/4". Bulkhead fittings are designed for flat surfaces, not curved ones. For a standard 55-gallon barrel with an inside diameter of 22.5", adapter plates create a flat surface both inside and out for the bulkhead fitting to rest against. In the images provided, the teal plate is on the outside, while the gray one is on the inside. This setup accommodates a 2" Banjo Corporation fitting that requires a 3" diameter hole in the barrel and comes with a 1/2" wider plate. Additional sizes can be added as time allows or upon request through comments. As needed or requested, further sizes will be added to this collection. Update 1 (08/10/2019): The original files were made for barrels with a 3-inch inside diameter. Another set was created for 2.75-inch inside diameters.
