Rain Barrel Spigot Installation Tool
grabcad
Tool to aid in installing a spigot (faucet) in a rain barrel, when the barrel only has 2" bung holes for access. Attach a broom stick handle, by screwing this tool to the broom stick (warning, it's a tight fit, so cram it in there). I designed this specifically for Amazon's RAINPAL RBS005 Brass Water Container/Rain Barrel Quarter Turn Spigot, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019YMGNDW?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details , but may possibly be able to use with others by taping interior nut to tool. Insert the broom stick with tool attached to the inside of the 7/8" hole. All you have to do is get the spigot threads started, then pull the spigot while turning (so the interior nut is firmly pressing against the inside of the barrel). Caveat, this is tilted at a specific angle for my barrel, so the angle may be different depending on the placement of the spigot, barrel size, etc. It lined up well in my 30 gallon drum, installing the spigot at 90 degrees from the bung. Do not print support material, lay flat with the nut recess (where the nut snaps in) upward.
