Railway Clock with a twist, in the style of the Swiss Railway Clock
thingiverse
For railway enthusiasts: A clock inspired by the iconic Swiss Railways Clock. I've incorporated multiple railway company logos into the design. Additional logos can be added upon request. Options include: Blank Nederlandse Spoorwegen (The Netherlands) Deutsche Bundesbahn (West Germany) Deutsche Bahn (Germany) Deutsche Reichsbahn (DDR East Germany) Deutsche Reichsbahn Gesellschaft (Germany until end WW-II) SBB CFF FSS (Switzerland) NMBS SNCB (Belgium) Statens Järnvägar (Sweden) SNCF (France) To complete this project, simply attach a budget-friendly clock mechanism from eBay or AliExpress (56 x 56 mm, 8.5 mm output shaft). The face of the clock measures 295 mm in diameter, making it an ideal size for printing on a Creality CR10 bed. The clock's design consists of 3 layers of 0.40 mm thick material, resulting in a total thickness of 1.2 mm. To minimize print time, carefully consider the placement of the logos (0.40 mm from the face), minute markers (0.8 mm), and hour markers (1.2 mm). No supports are required for printing this design. A screw or nail hole is also available for hanging the clock. Update 17FEB2019: The seconds hand was initially unbalanced, even when printed in HIPS material. This resulted in a heavy load on the clock movement, which couldn't handle the weight between 6 and 12 o'clock. To balance the seconds hand, insert 3 mm rod/thread into the provided hole. Update 23AUG2019: The missing SBB/CFF/FSS clock face has been added to this design. Update 25AUG2019: While most clocks are inspired by the Swiss railway clock style, the unique hands used in Switzerland set it apart. To complete the design, I've included hour, minute, and seconds hands for the SBB CFF FSS clock.
