Key Considerations: Provided normal maps conform to both OpenGL and DirectX formats. For unity applications, OpenGL is used; for UE4, etc., DirectX applies. The blend files are initially set up to utilize OpenGL. All models feature a second UV channel designed for lightmap implementation. The roadbed has been designed as a distinct mesh from the entire track components. Decorative elements such as rail joiners have been included for realistic installation purposes. Same curvature layout designs with fewer rails - still utilizes the smaller resolution (pixel) but slightly decreases model vertex count: Total Vertex amount here lies at just below half the model count. Lastly the short rail piece includes less vertex and the other attributes are equal in specification. These attributes may give insight to why each one works out to different needs of use for the respective tracks.
