Railroad crossing gate
prusaprinters
A set of manual lift pikes that are at train crossing to prevent them from crossing train tracks while train passes.Made extensive use of colorchange to enhance appearance.Used two (2) 4x16 mm screws and nuts, one for each crossing "pole."Printed with .4 nozzle, 15% infill, PLA. Each crossing guard takes a little over an hour.Designed “poles” to be printed with the stripes on top and bottom. Achieved desired result by making the stripes .4mm high and 20mm long. This allows printing the white (bottom) stripe then change to red, which is able to bridge between the white stripes without a problem. Repeat colorchange back to white for the top ,4mm.Used gray for the base of the “support” then chage to white for the poles. Gray is the color closest to most roads (or black) and white makes the poles more visible.
