RailCore 2 Door Hinges
thingiverse
Hinges for RailCore 2 doors come in both 250 and 300 ZL models, designed to be printed from PETG or ABS filament. The hinges feature a unique design where a moderately long M3 screw (25mm) threads tightly into the top and bottom pieces while remaining loose in the middle piece. This allows for smooth swinging motion without compromising stability. To ensure accurate placement, drilling guides can be pushed into the front corner of the door as shown. From there, users can mark and drill or, if preferred, hold/clamp the guides and drill through existing holes. The hinges are specifically designed to accommodate 10mm countersunk heads (Phillips head in this case), with NyLock nuts securing the backsides. A separate DXF file is available for each door size - 300 ZL and 250 ZL - although they can be swapped interchangeably due to identical dimensions. Additionally, a fixed part has been added for users working with thicker materials, such as 1/4" or 6mm door thickness.
