Railbike Chassis

A little while ago, I posted a set of 3D printed railway bogies with plans to incorporate them into a larger project. This project involved building a deck and attaching a 1:18 scale motorbike model from Maisto. The final result is now complete - a detailed model railway chassis that can be adapted to other motorbike models. I want to stress that THIS MODEL DOES NOT INCLUDE THE MOTORBIKE. The motorbike used in this project is an old Maisto model I purchased years ago. There are some great 3D printed motorbike models available online that might work well with this project. For example, Hex17 on Thingiverse has a good-looking motorbike model that could suit this chassis, as well as Valcrow's incredibly detailed Ducati model. This package is self-contained and includes the railway bogie models, so you don't need to rush off and download them separately. I've included the Blender model used to design the parts, as well as an OBJ version of the assembly for those who use other modeling packages. The PDF includes assembly instructions to help you figure out how all the pieces fit together when you're faced with a mountain of parts. Each STL filename indicates how many times that piece needs to be printed. I've designed it so that no support is required. You can find more information about this project on my website, www.techmonkeybusiness.com - Railbike Project. Have fun!
