Thing 2352179 Reimagined. This is a rail-road crossing signal in 1:24 scale, specifically designed for G gauge trains. Ten millimeter LEDs illuminate the "target," while two millimeter LEDs light up the crossing arm. A nine gram servo, measuring twenty-three by twelve by twenty-two millimeters, powers the entire mechanism and was sourced from eBay as a "Tower Pro Microservo SG90" - available online at http://www.ebay.com/itm/10X-180-9g-Micro-Servo-SG90-Motor-RC-Robot-Helicopter-Airplane-Remote-Control-/291866934731?epid=526041964&hash=item43f49ffdcb:g:2z4AAOSwzJ5Xak-k. A microcontroller, namely an Arduino, is used to sense the train's approach optically, control the servo, and flash the lights in synchronization. The structural components of this project include seven thirty-second metal tubing for the vertical support post and five thirty-second tubing to hold the target lights in place.
