Rail Holder for Sterilite container (make a drawer!)
thingiverse
I needed a way to utilize containers as drawers while keeping print material to a minimum. Here's what I came up with. Print two brackets for each rail - that's four per drawer in total. Then, insert a 3/8 square dowel, applying a small amount of glue if desired. Secure it in place using a wood screw. There are end pieces that support one rail and "middle pieces" designed to hold two rails in position. Check out the accompanying images for a clearer view. I've made revisions to print covered sizes, concealing the wooden rod from sight - if you're interested, I'll add them to the designs. I'll also share the OpenSCAD files if there's sufficient interest. For optimal results, I recommend printing with 20% infill, as it provides a suitable level of strength without excessive material usage.
