Rail End Cap Cover
thingiverse
I have a laser engraver and its frame is made from robust "H" rails. The ends of these rails are rugged, so I chose to add endcaps with angled edges to smooth them out. To create these end caps, I used my laser engraver to precision-cut the materials. My "H" rails measure approximately 61.30mm in width, 29.55mm in height, and 2.5mm in thickness. The cross members of the rails are 7.3mm high and 3mm thick. To ensure a secure fit, I designed these endcaps with a slight bevel, allowing them to be tapped into place using a hammer and screwdriver. This prevents them from slipping off or falling off easily. I've included an image for comparison purposes. Additionally, I have created a minimalist version of the endcap that contours the shape of the "H-Rail" for those who prefer a more subtle design.
