Ragnarök - Fidget Spinner - Tri-Spinner

I wanted to try something new with this tri-spinner because the 3+1 bearing spinners are getting pretty repetitive, if you ask me. I love the way the cold, metal weights (copper welding tips) contrast with the plastic arms, especially when you can see the weights inside and at the ends of the arms. I used the center nub and rest from an Adafruit spinner file that you can print in contrasting or complementary colors to add your own personal touch. You may need to slightly file the outside of the shaft of the nub to get it through the center of the bearing, then just push it through, apply a small dab of CA glue on top (make sure not to get it on the bearing), push the other end on, and keep pressure on it for a while until it dries. I use a C-clamp and leave it there overnight. This model is set up for 608 skateboard bearings that are just a press fit - they work best when the body is still warm, but you can also gently tap them into place using a hammer. I like to use a wrench socket to put force on the outside of the bearing (not across the balls themselves). In my latest builds, I happened to use hybrid ceramic bearings, but I prefer a good ss ball and race. Before assembly, I remove the dust seal and apply graphite powder, working it in and then blowing it clean using an air gun. This also helps polish the race as it spins at high speed. Be careful not to damage your eyes or have weights dislodged that may fly across the room! The weights are 11-35 (0.035") MIG welding contact tips that you can buy at your local hardware store. Glue them in using CA glue, making sure the edges around the ends of the weights aren't broken when installing the weights or when the spinner is dropped. I've clipped these parts off on some spinners and found that the glue is more than strong enough to keep the weights in place. If you have any tips or make any changes, please let me know - I'd love to see what others do with my design!
