RAF Puma HC1 Helicopter 3D model
cgtrader
The SA 330 Puma helicopter originated from Sud Aviation's response to the French Army's demand for a versatile, all-weather medium-sized aircraft. It was required to operate in various climates and day/night conditions. In 1967, the Royal Air Force (RAF) selected it as Puma HC Mk 1, leading to a joint production agreement between Aerospatiale and Westland Helicopters UK. This deal also involved the purchase of Aérospatiale Gazelle by the UK and Westland Lynx by France, with Westland assembling RAF's Pumas. The first prototype flew in April 1965, followed by six pre-production models, the last flying in July 1968. Production SA 330 Puma for French Army began in early 1969, ceasing in 1987 after 697 units were sold. The Eurocopter AS332 Super Puma replaced it as an upgraded version. This replica accurately represents the original with detailed parts for animation use.
