Radius
thingiverse
This is a precise scale replica.\nThe model originates from the Body Parts 3D Database found online at http://lifesciencedb.jp/bp3d/?lng=en, a comprehensive database of 3D anatomical structure data fully funded by NIH. According to their published white paper (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2686530/), the models were created from MRI images taken at 2 mm intervals of a male volunteer.\nSome non-printable surfaces were corrected using Meshmixer, and the model was rotated for optimal balance between quality and strength. Large features and landmarks on the bone are easily identifiable, but smaller details may not be visible to the naked eye. These models can be printed using 8" x 8" x 8" or 200mm x 200mm x 200mm 3D printers.\nBodyParts3D, a project of The Database Center for Life Science, is licensed under CC Attribution-Share Alike 2.1 Japan.
