This is another basic battery box similar to the FT-4X one I previously built. As with that project, it's not fully completed or refined. The design doesn't fit comfortably in the hand, which wasn't a primary concern. However, it securely clips into place as you would expect from such a device. In my case, I'm using this battery box as part of a battery eliminator mounted in a car holder. A speaker mic is attached to it. I added tinned wire ends to the slots for the battery terminals. The 8.4-volt input can also be handled with metal strips.
