Concerns have been raised about PLA's compatibility with water, which is a valid concern given its marine environment, suggesting that printing in nylon or ABS might be a better option. Recently updated to include a taller model equipped with a foot to maintain the item's parallel alignment on the bar and a narrowed opening of 30mm, addressing issues with excessive size that allowed it to slide around. This revised design works more effectively with the 2-piece clips used in cellphone holders, as opposed to the original's compatibility with ridged clips on handheld radios.
