With only two modifications, a water cooling radiator can be mounted to the portal of a CNC 3020 milling router, effectively replacing the outdated water bucket cooling method with a closed loop system. Fortunately, no new holes need to be drilled since the existing bolt holes will suffice. The holders for the tank/pump combination are secured to the portal via a strong adhesive. As a result, the machine's original outer dimensions remain unchanged, achieving the goal of not increasing its size.
