Radiator 15mm pipe ring - asymmetric 45x55mm
thingiverse
I required a radiator pipe ring (escutcheon) to conceal the slot in the wooden floor. After conducting an extensive search and even purchasing several to test, I was unable to locate one that fully covered the gap. A significant part of the issue was that the slot needed to be concealed extended further beyond the pipe than the space between the pipe and skirting, making a symmetrical circular collar insufficient. Ultimately, I chose to create my own, motivated when I noticed that there are more wood-like colours available through 3D printing, so it wouldn't have to be an eye-catching mismatch with the wooden floor. To conceal the slot, I designed it to be 45mm wide by 55mm long, with the pipe hole centered within a 45x45mm area. This way, the additional 10mm (resulting in a total of 55mm) ensures that the entire gap in the floor is fully covered. This was printed through 3dhubs, using a reasonably wood-like colour, and a layer height of 200um. I'm certain there are other suitable materials, but so far, based on two print orders, I have found: Polymaker Polywood ColorFabb WoodFill
