I printed a Stevenson screen for my weather station's temperature sensor (BME280 and an additional Thermistor, but it also works with DHT11/DHT22 or similar sensors). The screen is made of white PLA and has been problem-free for about 12 months, even after our summer's nearly 40°C heat. The holes are 6 mm in diameter, allowing for M6 threaded rods. The screen's length can be adjusted by the number of levels. I would make a few improvements if I had to design it again. First, I recommend building the top three levels as closed compartments to prevent a hole in the middle. This is how professional cases are built. Unfortunately, I didn't model a component for this... maybe you'll do it as a remix? The temperature sensor shouldn't be placed too high up in the housing. I also added an optional small housing that contains an SDS011 dust sensor. Of course, this can be used with your Arduino or ESPs (Wemos, Nodemcu, etc.). However, installing the unit directly on a house wall doesn't make much sense, even if it's on the north-west wall like mine. Ultimately, you're measuring the heat of the heated wall rather than the actual air temperature. You should realize that there is no single "temperature" anyway. The WMO recommends installation 2 m above the ground, which must not be concreted or paved. Sufficient distance to buildings and other structures is also required. But sometimes you just want to know how warm the air is when you open the window... I've built a temperature sensor into the bushes of our property. Since it keeps its leaves even in winter, it's perfect protection, and my measurements can compete with those of our official meteorological organization (DWD). This is a remix of the DHT22 TEMPERATURE HUMIDITY SHELTER by ORMER (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3222598). Thank you, ORMER, for your great work.
