Radial Symmetry Bowl
sketchfab
I employed a radial array in this blender project to duplicate basic 'cutout' geometry from a central point, subsequently utilizing lazy-unwrapping to assign colors to specific parts. Next, I leveraged simple proportional editing with the sphere curve to rapidly deform the flat pattern into a rounded 'bowl' shape. This exercise served as a test to determine if radial pattern creation is effortless in blender; while it was a bit labor-intensive, it ultimately proved to be an acceptable workflow. In the future, I intend to develop more patterns, but I will carefully plan beforehand to ensure that I have something prepared when creating patterns, rather than relying on spontaneous design (i.e., winging it).
