Radial print cooling fans for a CoreXY printer

I recently constructed this CoreXY printer - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1003119 - and decided I wanted to mount a pair of 50mm radial fans for print cooling instead of the original single ducted fan (the one on the X carriage wouldn't fit). I aimed for simplicity wherever possible; the parts are identical on each side, and they use minimal plastic. I discovered that these two fans are too efficient for the poor hot-end, causing it to chill at anywhere over 50%. To resolve this issue, I designed an air duct that points downward by approximately 45 degrees; the fans continue to cool the extruded plastic, but most of the air misses the hot-end nozzle block. I recently posted incorrect air duct designs for the Prusa i3 cooling fans. The correct designs are now available online. Print Settings Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 100% Notes: The fan and X carriage mounts are printed in PLA, and I achieved better results by printing the fan mount on its side. Printing it with the fan facing downwards seemed to leave the top post weak. The nozzles are printed in ABS due to their proximity to the hot end; they require no supports as they are printed flat on the bed. I recommend printing two nozzles at once to prevent overheating. Please note that the nozzles have a slight offset, but it is irrelevant due to the high airflow produced by these fans. Post-Printing No special requirements after printing - just tidy up the pieces, use a 4mm drill bit to ensure the holes are clear, screw the small bracket to the underside of the X carriage, then connect the two brackets. Use a dab of glue to secure the nozzles in place if needed. Once mounted, move the carriage slowly until you are certain the fans won't collide with any parts.
