Radial Overhang Test

Radial Overhang Test

thingiverse

A quick(ish) radial overhang test model. This was designed to test both overhang performance as well as cooling performance in every direction. Its design should also minimise part warping and part flexing, although those may still be a concern at the steeper angles. This was produced on Fusion 360, by revolving the outer edge of a 30mm diameter circle at a distance of 5mm from the Z-axis, and only including angles up to 80 degrees. This provides for a consistent curve with which to test your printer's overhang and cooling performance in every direction.Use whatever layer height you intend to work with. Ensure supports are turned off.Afterwards you can use the result as a handy funnel :)
