Radial Fan Fang Chimera
thingiverse
This is a remix I made of the Radial Fan Fang for a 5015 radial fan. The fan was lying around and no extrusion coolers caught my eye for the Chimera. This project isn't done yet, though! The first print finished last night, but I haven't had time to test it yet. I'm fairly sure the nozzle ends need some optimizing and adjusting, as they look a lot smaller than on the CAD. Also keep in mind that the original design was made with a single focal point of air around the nozzle. This design doesn't have that and is just a cooler for the 2 nozzles. A 4 fang design might be possible to achieve the 2 focal points, which I'll consider doing at a later date. Once this design is final and working, I might create one for the cyclops as well. If you need the blender files, I can provide them. Also let me know if there are any changes or customization needed. P.S. I made a slight edit to a mount and X-carriage that fits with this fan. Check it out here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2209360 Printer Settings: Printer: Zonester P802N Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 100% Notes: Cooling is recommended, but not necessary for this print. I did it without and had to keep a close eye on it for the first part of the fangs as it has big overhangs, but not enough to need support.
