Radial Fan "Fang" 5015 parts cooler duct (FLSun i3 with e3d v5 or v6)
thingiverse
Took jneilliii's 40mm fan remix of the Lion4H original and shortened the fangs by 8mm as Lion4H describes to make it compatible with the FLSun i3. Make sure to check out their designs (which should be linked on the left there) for instructions on how to modify it to your needs using Blender and the attached file, and don't forget to thank them while you're at it! It works great, best thing short of dual-blower (see below). Enjoy! It is designed to be used with the stock e3d v5 clone hotend, or v6 upgrade (using BFAL's lowering holder), 40mm heatsink fan, and 5015 blower fan that come with the FLSun i3. *I HIGHLY recommend you replace the original 5015 that comes with the kit with a better 12V, ~.15A unit, I did not realize how bad it was until I got a pair that push some real CFM. Short - Nozzles located slightly high, shooting air down sides of nozzle and forming a slightly turbulent downward column about 1" wide Mid-Length - A happy medium on my machine; bubble around the nozzle forming a downward column about 1" wide Long - Not as much air right around the sides of the nozzle but focused right below it, forming a downward column about 1" wide. Skirt/brim, or at least glue-stick is a must (tape alone won't do). May need some supports on the near horizontal stuff under the horns unless you're awesome. I've seen it printed laying flat as well, I assume with supports under the 40mm fan mount. Slicer does not like the STL but Cura does fine with it.
