This is a functional model of the Semi-Radial 3-cylinder (W3) engine (made by Anzani, 25 HP) that was installed on the Bleriot 11 airplane that first crossed the Strait of Dover in 1909. After that, for the same type of airplane (Bleriot 11-2) imported to Japan, engine was replaced with the Rotary engine. Since it is a very unique type, I made it with reference to public information. Features of this model (Approx.1/4 Scale) ① Radial 3 Cylinder with side valve housing ② Crankshaft with 3 master rods (No link rod) ③ Valve arrangement - Inlet valve: Automatic type (opened and closed by the internal pressure of the cylinder) - Exhaust valve: Individual Gear, Cam, Tappet type ④ "Y" shape Intake Pipes connected to Carburetor and side valve housing of cylinder ⑤ "L" shape Exhaust Pipes connected side valve housing of cylinder ⑥ Ignition Distributor, Spark Plug ⑦ Finger Rotation Device added ⑧ Wooden Propeller (dummy) added B. Assembly Manual (PDF format, total 20 pages) The detail assembly manual including "Parts-List", "After printing treatment" and "Assembly procedure" are prepared based on "Standard Skill (Filing, Drilling, Tapping and painting)". C. Purchase Parts Information; - Bearings- No Metal Bearing is used. - Aluminum Tubes φ3, 7 - See Parts List - Screws Micro screws M1.4x3.5L & M1.4x6L - Direct screw-in to 1 mm dia hole (No nut) But if you have the M1.4 Tap, it will be very useful. Screws M2 x ** -, M3 x ** - See Parts List D. STL file Total STL files are 41 items including the stand and tools. (Except option files) “ws” of last 2 digits of file name means “With Support” special designed. For the cylinders and crankcases, which are the very complicated part, the "Without Support" files are included as the option. E. Total Net Print Time: Approx. 50 HR - (Estimated as case of PLA, 0.4mm Nozzle, 0.2mm Layer Height, 40% infill and No raft and support) Note: When at actual print, each parameter may be adjusted by your experience. F. Printing settings Raft, Support, Layer Height, Infill: Depending on your experience. My models were printed by "idbox" using with 0.4 nozzle, 1.75 PLA.
