A five-cylinder radial engine's sub-assembly includes a master rod 1 linked to articulated rods 2 by rod bush 6 and link pins 7. Aluminum pistons 3 are assembled with the rods using bushes 5, piston pins 8, and piston pin plugs 9. Each piston has five rings 10. Bearing 4 is for the master rod's big end that connects to the crankshaft's crank pin.
