The RMS Mount Adapter is designed specifically for attaching Radeon RMS mounts to Red Sea Max Nano tanks. It replaces the original switch box, which must be relocated if still in use. The bolt hole on the adapter is undersized, allowing users to either tap it with a commercial M8 tap or by screwing in the included bolt from the RMS into the print. Two screws are required for secure attachment to the tank, and in my experience, printing them at 100% fill provides extra strength. A new file, RMS_mount_V1.stl, has been added to accommodate users who wish to retain and relocate their nano control box to the left side of the tank. In a recent update, I was informed that one user's printed screws snapped, causing damage to the light in the tank. This issue occurred when the screws were printed at low infill rather than 100% fill. To prevent this from happening again, I have uploaded a reinforced screw design file, reinforced_screw.stl. This new screw takes an M5 25mm screw with either cap or hex head and secures it to a captive M5 nut through the center. Using a reasonable-sized washer under the screw head will also help prevent the screw from snapping in this way.
