Radds LCD case & mount
thingiverse
A two-part enclosure designed to attach to alloy extrusion and hold a Radds LCD screen with a swivel/tilt mount is created. This compact design achieves a thickness of only 20mm by utilizing four 3mm through holes in the PCB as case screw fixings, one 2-screw mount for 40x40 alloy extrusion, and another for 20x20 alloy extrusion. Two versions of the case halves are designed: one is held together with four 3mm cap head bolts that are 20mm long and feature trapped nuts, while the other screws together using self-tapping screws with a diameter of 4mm and a length of 13mm into a blind hole (requiring a drill out to 2.5mm). The PCB locates onto four 2.5mm pins in the lower half of the case. Two ribbon cables pass between the mount legs, and a knob features a D-shaped mount hole and a 2mm hole for tapping an M3 grub screw. Additionally, two buttons are designed to "float", and a slot is provided for inserting an SD card. The model is built on UP+ at a resolution of 0.2mm with supports placed outside the case. As with any home-built models, some degree of finishing, filing, and drilling may be required to complete the model.
