Create a custom radar detector mount for your car with this DIY guide. Print the "RadarDetectorMount.stl" file, then follow these steps: 1. Insert an M8 x 1.25mm x 45mm head cap screw into the lower mirror mount. 2. Add a M8 x 1.25mm nylon locking nut against the lower mirror mount on the 45mm long head cap screw. 3. Add another M8 x 1.25mm nylon locking nut ~15mm up the 45mm long head cap screw. 4. Slide the printed detector mount onto the 45mm long head cap screw and secure with a 3rd nylon locking nut. 5. Remove the suction cups from the factory suction cup mount of your radar detector. 6. Attach the factory suction cup mount to the printed detector mount using two M6 x 1.0mm x 20mm head cap screws and 2 M6x 1.0mm nylon locking nuts. 7. Place the printed top mirror mount on the rear-view mirror's windshield bar and match it with the lower mirror mount. Secure with two M8 x 1.25 x 20mm head cap screws and 2 M8 x 1.25mm nylon locking nuts. 8. Mount your radar detector on the factory suction cup rail mount and make adjustments for desired position. Tighten the mirror mount, insert power, and test ride. This unique mount fits well with a 2010 Lincoln MKT and Passport Escort 8500 X50 radar detector. Ensure a sturdy print with at least 20% infill for durability. Happy printing!
