Rad Radius Gauge - the RadGauge - With Companion App
thingiverse
A precision radius gauge for measuring radii of approximately 40 mm and larger. Utilize the free web app calculator to calculate the results with ease! UPDATE 2: Added versions without the shelf in the hole. This modification allows calipers with a vertical bracket across the depth probe to be accommodated, rather than a screw. Although this is not ideal, as the lack of the shelf will result in some wobble, you can simply hold it in place while measuring. UPDATE 1: Added a 30 mm version for measuring smaller radii. #### The companion app and instructions for use are available at: https://subsite.github.io/rad/ This design is specifically tailored to fit standard digital calipers. The main shaft measures approximately 16 mm x 4 mm, with a screw to secure the depth probe in place. To ensure compatibility, first print the small test piece, followed by the complete model if necessary. A slight looseness is acceptable; it's easy to keep in place while measuring. If the gauge fits too tightly on the z-axis, try scaling only that axis in your slicer. Scaling the entire design will affect the measuring distance. It should be relatively straightforward for me to create an alternative version for different calipers. Please let me know if you require one, and I'll do my best to accommodate your request! ### * If you successfully print this gauge, please post a Make!
