Rack for outdoor battery box Projects
thingiverse
I've got several electronics projects running off a 12V lead acid battery, like solar-powered weather instruments for instance. I was on the hunt for an affordable spot to stash them when I stumbled upon Walmart's plastic marine battery box (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Snap-Top-Everstart-Marine-Battery-Box/16781380). It has a nifty feature - it comes with a plastic divider that lets me store different size batteries. The coolest thing is, if you're using a smaller battery like a Group 24, you've got leftover "rack" spots just waiting to be filled. I whipped up custom "rack shelves" to hold my various projects. For example, I made one for the Sparkfun Particle Inventor Kit (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13320).
