Rack and Pinion

This Rack and Pinion is the most useful you'll ever come across. It utilizes a standard servo (20mm x 40mm), which I repurposed as a gearbox. This setup includes a 200mm rack, with holes drilled at each end for mounting purposes. The printer's build plate determines the maximum size that can be printed; if a longer rack is needed, modifications can be made using online programs available. One essential part to purchase is the servo spline post, which requires gluing in place. To assemble, six 2.5 x 8 screws secure the cover, while four 3 x 8 washer head screws hold the housing to the servo. Print Settings: Printer: WANHAO Duplicator i3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .25 is optimal Infill: Varies from 25 to 50% depending on application Notes: Support is required only for the housing. How I Created This Design I've struggled to find a reliable working rack and pinion suitable for projects, so I decided to design one myself.
