Racewire Mount/Insulator/Protector
thingiverse
Tape gets sticky, slips around, picks up debris, and can't handle the heat of a soldering iron. Instead of using VHB, double-sided foam tape, or other tape to secure Racewire (a fantastic product from WhitenoiseFPV aka Kevin Lee), these tiny components are combined with Zip-Ties to provide a neat mounting solution that also protects them from strikes, scratches, and similar impacts that might cause shorting of the traces. They also enable effortless maintenance and insulate the bottom of the Racewire from carbon fiber arms. Racewire offers several advantages, including easy replacement of a motor without disassembling a build with a 4-in-1 ESC. Racewire also provides a more robust solution than silicone-insulated, stranded copper wires when a bent propeller or other object strikes the arm. This alternative mounting method simply adds extra protection and convenience. There are 40mm and 25mm sizes available for the long and short versions of Racewire. Print the Cover upside-down with the channel for the Racewire on top and use supports, unless your printer can bridge these small areas without them. Coming soon: Companion LED holders/diffusers. For some excellent LEDs (that will fit the upcoming mounts), check out TinyTy's webstore: https://www.tinysleds.com **** V2 and V3 files don't require supports ****
