As a passionate cycling enthusiast, I'm always eager to ride long distances between destinations. Music is my constant companion on these journeys, but sometimes Google Maps helps me navigate unfamiliar routes. The main issue was finding a suitable phone holder that wouldn't compromise the comfort of my ride. Since my pockets aren't spacious enough for my phone, I decided to create a custom solution. After researching most racing bikes, I discovered three potential attachment points near the handlebar shaft where a secure phone mount could be installed. These spots are ideal for holding a phone holder in place without obstructing the rider's view or control over the bike. To ensure a precise fit and function, I took meticulous measurements of my bike and designed a custom bracket accordingly. The design features an adjustable angle of 4 degrees to counteract gravity and prevent accidental phone slippage. I also included provisions for the audio jack, charge port, and buttons to maintain seamless connectivity during travel. This attention to detail guarantees that the phone holder remains securely enclosed within its housing. The prototype was successfully printed, and I'm thrilled that all my measurements were accurate. The result is a flawless design that complements my bike perfectly. To enhance my riding experience, I installed a dedicated cycling app on my phone, which provides essential data such as speed, distance, and other valuable metrics in real-time. This integration has transformed my rides into engaging and informative experiences.
