Rabbit - Sun Catcher

<p>I wanted to see if it was possible to print a sun catcher without fancy multilateral mechanisms. So here is one of my attempts. This time Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh.</p> <p>The frame acts like the leading in a stained glass window. It needs to be printed in transparent filament with a change to black at the layer where the lead lines would be.</p> <p>Once completed, the coloured pieces are then glued into the relevant "gaps" in the frame. I used PVA glue and allowed it to set over a number of days.</p> <p>I used PLA for the filament, sometimes I had to use PET as I couldn't find a translucent/transparent PLA of the right colour. This mostly worked, but sometimes I had to sand the PET pieces down a little to make it fit.</p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p>Unassociated tags: sun catcher</p> <h3>Category: 2D Art Print Settings</h3> <p><strong>Notes:</strong></p> <p>The Yellow and Black stl will need to be sliced so that the black outline of the frame continues round the piece.</p>
