This project entails a predominantly aluminum sheet metal design. Anodized legs and plain box surfaces are proposed, as welding at the corners offers dust and weather protection. Further enhancements include foam and felt strips (not modeled), which provide excellent item protection and vibration damping during transit. Production processes involve laser cutting, bending, welding, and riveting in one shop. The top lid's tool tray is reversible for transit, equipped with a low-density foam backing to prevent tools from falling off magnetic strips and reduce rattling.
