In my Rabaconda Portable Bike Racer Tool Desk Challenge entry, I prioritized a full-sized working surface and proper tool storage. Instead of a conventional design, I opted for a toolbox that opens completely into a small table to maximize space. To minimize height when closed while retaining a full paper towel roll capacity, the working surface is on one side of the box, folding in half. The toolbox can be initially set up as a tripod for easier opening. The center leg provides support. Box dimensions are 800 x 400 x 237.5 mm, with total dimensions (including hardware and protrusions) at 835 x 435 x 275 mm. Clamps ensure a dust- and weatherproof interior, while wall mounts are on the box's base and lid leg supports. Large tools fit in fold-out panel pockets, and small tools go into drawers taller than 55mm. The working surface is 800mm off the ground. To reduce costs, components can be made from durable plastic, with simple geometries and designs for easy production. Additional features include dividers in larger drawers, a collapsible fabric panel to secure inner drawer closure, magnets for external drawer security, and rubber feet for stability when closed or opened.
