RA and DEC CWD levels for Losmandy G11
thingiverse
These levels snap onto a Losmandy G11 telescope mount. They're used to figure out the Counter Weight Down (CWD) position before turning on the Gemini-2 controller. Losmandy suggests using a small spirit level to get this right, as shown in the YouTube video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNYxSjOuPRE. These levels simply snap onto the mount and don't need to be removed. I bought the spirit level vials from eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/252027503469) for $3, including shipping. I acknowledge that using a single spirit level like in the Losmandy video above is more than sufficient, but I made these levels because I could and they can stay on the mount. Print Settings Printer: Creator Pro Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 50-70% Notes: I printed mine from ABS. PLA would probably work fine too, with the advantage of less shrinkage. The RA clip is quite tight. When printing the DEC clip, you might need to adjust its size to get a tight fit. It's not critical though. Clean up any irregularities on the surfaces that contact the mount.
