R5-D4 frozen in Carbonite

After I had drawn up my R5 Funko [soon to be added to my models] I thought it would be cool to do a carbonite version. One of the 3D model version I created for easy printing, was half sections, front and back, to look like the original moulded toys.So using the Funko Solo in Carbinite as a guide, I drew up the Carbonite Block to scale and then combined it with the front section of R5. The Block also has holes in it's base so it can be stood on the pins of another base.I've included R5 in carbonite in this model, along with a back plate.To create the Carbonite effect, I used PVA glue, mixed with silver model paint. It does take a while to dry, but gives you time to add texture to the model.I have also created an R4-D4 version as well…….uploading soon.
