My diploma thesis (done in 2014) Catia V6The Diploma thesis deals with the structural design of the bucket seat made from composite materials for racing vehicle PRAGA R4S. The thesis gradually presents a theoretical overview of the seats currently used in motorsport, their construction, design, methods of prototype creation and manufacturing technology. The practical part of the thesis deals with analysis of automobile with the emphasis on technical and ergonomic aspects, then analysis of required construction linkages which results from standards and rules established by International Automobile Federation FIA. Against this background, the structural design of the seat is made from the design study and from the design of all possible construction solutions along with their technical evaluation and selection of particular option. The part of the thesis deals with the creation of laminated FEM model of shaped shell with various structural versions which are then examined under the same boundary conditions of strength and modal analysis.
